Finding a Club Near You

How can I get in touch with Republican women in my area?

Here are two ways to reach a Unit Club utilizing our site:

How much does it cost to be a member of your organization?
Individual unit clubs set their own pricing. It is usually a figure around $20-$30 for the year. At this point in time we do not have a "State Only" membership, although our National Organization does have a separate membership. Membership in the Federation Within the next few months we shall be starting an online club and membership for that will be posted. In the meantime you can find out more about a unit club near you!.
Do we have a template for CFRW business cards? I'm going to the CRP convention as well as other activities and would like to have cards to hand out. Do we make up our own or does RW have one we can copy?
CFRW does not have business cards for individual members . The decision of business cards for members of clubs who hold positions should be decided upon by the club they represent.

Why do you belong to the Federation of Republican Women?

Members belong to make a difference. To keep America free and safe for our children. There are so many intelligent, caring women who belong, working together to help keep our country the great Republic that it is.

What does the Federation of Republican Women do?

We help elect candidates who reflect the viewpoints of smaller government, lower taxes, and fewer regulations. Those candidates who feel that they serve the people and not that the people serve the government. We meet candidates and office holders "up close and personal".

We listen as they deliver their thoughts and ideas. We study issues and take stands on them. Many of our members run for political office, from the local level to the National level.

We are concerned about the education of our children, and have a large volunteer program to help children to become all they can be. Children are 100% of our future, and we subscribe to President Bush's program, "No Child Left Behind".

What does GOP Stand For?

A favorite of headline writers, GOP dates back to the 1870s and '80s. The abbreviation was cited in a New York Herald story on October 15,1884; "' The G.O.P. Doomed,' shouted the Boston Post.... The Grand Old Party is in condition to inquire...

But what GOP stands for has changed with the times. In 1875 there was a citation in the Congressional Record referring to "this gallant old party," and according to Harper's Weekly, in the Cincinnati Commercial in 1876 to "Grand Old Party."

In early motorcar days, GOP took on the term "get out and push." During the 1964 presidential campaign, "Go-Party" was used briefly, and during the Nixon Administration, frequent references to the "generation of peace" had happy overtones. In line with moves in the '70s to modernize the party, Republican leaders took to referring the "grand old party," harkening back to a 1971 speech by President Nixon at the dedication of the Eisenhower Republican Center in Washington, D.C.

Indeed, the "grand old party" is an ironic term, since the Democrat Party was organized some 22 years earlier in 1832. Resource: www.rnc.org

Where would I find a volunteer hours form to copy?

Membership

What is the Federation of Republican Women?

The largest all woman volunteer political organization in the nation, with about 100,000 members nationally.

Don't you belong to other clubs and organizations?

Most of our members belong to other organizations--church groups, bridge clubs, garden clubs, civic organizations, to name just a few. The Federation is one organization where you can get political information on a consistent basis.

I am a man. May I join the Federation? If not, what can I do to support your activities?

An associate membership is also granted to Republican men, including husbands of members, interested in the success of the Republican Party. Cost of such membership is set by the individual unit clubs. If you are interested in joining as an associate member of a local unit please submit our join form and someone will contact you.

I'm a member of Fresno County and City RWF. How do I get the ID and Password to access the Members Only section?"
There are two places on this website which link to a Request Password form. Non-members will not be given access. Within 48 hours of the request you will receive a password from our Datacenter.
Do I have to be a certain age to join?
Membership is open to any registered Republican woman, 18 years or older. Associate Membership is available to men and members of other CFRW Unit clubs.

Youth and Young Republicans

I want to be better informed with the current political issues, and take a more active role in knowing my government. Do you have any way of exposing or encouraging our youths to this?
Our Youth Coordinator says, "Volunteer! One way to do this is to work for a candidate or issue in your local area." Contact your local federated club and accompany one of your members to a candidate's headquarters or contact your county registrar to find out about your local office holders or candidates and call them to volunteer to work on their campaign or in their office. Find out when your local central committee meet and get involved with their activities. There are numerous volunteer organizations and you should be able to find one that meets your needs. The federated Women's Clubs offer education on issues and getting involved with them gives you access to continued involvement and frequent communications from all levels of your government. There are numerous e-zines and websites which offer informed analysis on issues. Sign up to receive more information and then use this information to make your thoughts and needs known to your representatives.
